Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans applying for disability benefits. You will review records, conduct focused assessments, and render objective medical opinions following VA guidelines.

Some travel and home-charting may be required. The role emphasizes accurate reporting, collaboration with QA teams, and adherence to HIPAA; previous military/veteran exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

Graduate of a nursing program with NP licensure and unrestricted practice in the U.S.
At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience.
Experience conducting medical disability examinations preferred.
Basic Life Support certification.
Familiarity with VA or military veteran communities is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive medical disability examinations and assess functional impact.
Review medical records and diagnostic results to form objective opinions.
Document findings in VA-compliant reports and communicate with QA teams.
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Travel up to 10% to support other clinics.
