Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Amarillo, Texas, seeks a Home Base Primary Care Medical Director to oversee HBPC services within the Geriatric and Extended Care Service. The incumbent will provide direct patient care and supervise LIPs, residents, fellows, and medical students, coordinating with in-house and community providers.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree required from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight of HBPC services and supervise LIPs, residents, fellows and students.
• Collaborate with the HBPC Program Director and participate in accreditation processes and site visits.
• Provide direct patient care including assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and prescribing within VA policies and formulary.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
