Job summary

The Home Base Primary Care (HBPC) Medical Director within the Geriatric and Extended Care Service at the Thomas E. Creek VA Health Care System is responsible for clinical over site of all HBPC services in Amarillo and satellite programs.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in geriatrics preferred.
• Residency training in an accredited program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical oversight of HBPC services in Amarillo and satellites.
• Collaborate with HBPC Program Director and affiliated schools; participate in academic activities.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise LIPs, residents, and students.
• Lead HBPC program development, accreditation processes, and site visits.
• Coordinate with in-house specialty clinics and community providers.
