Job summary

Adecco Staffing is partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer in Chelmsford, MA to hire an experienced Set-Up Technician on a temp-to-hire basis. This role requires a strong mechanical background, manual dexterity, and a proven ability to troubleshoot equipment in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a clean manufacturing setting, hands-on training, and long-term growth opportunities.

Shifts: 2nd shift, 1pm-9pm. Pay: $27.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing equipment set-ups or maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and reading blueprints.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and on alternating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and maintain molds, tools, machinery, and equipment used in medical device manufacturing.
• Perform equipment changeovers, including changing molds, tooling, and materials.
• Adjust machine settings and process parameters to ensure quality production.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify defects, and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment repairs.
• Inspect finished and in-process products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Complete production records, logs, and documentation according to company procedures.
• Work closely with manufacturing operators, technicians, and management to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist with training and mentoring other set-up technicians and operators as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company safety and quality procedures.
