Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC is seeking an Electromechanical Technician (2nd Shift) for a full-time role in Chelmsford, MA. The position involves maintaining and servicing automated packaging and conveyor systems and PLC-controlled equipment for a federal operations site.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of electronics and mechanics, and the ability to pass drug and background checks for access to a military installation. Initial training on first shift will apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with automatic or production systems.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, electromechanical devices, hydraulics, thermodynamics, optics, physics, and computer science.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for automated equipment systems (packaging, conveyors, dosing machines).
• Perform preventive maintenance, installation, evaluation, and calibration of PLCs.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and restore to full operation.
• Evaluate action alternatives and recommend replacements when needed.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and inspections per program requirements.
• Assist in writing maintenance procedures, PPE requirements, and lock-out/tag-out specs.
• Advise supervisor on equipment selection, installation, or modifications.
• Assist in installing/control-system operation and basic computer maintenance.
