Job summary

The Cypress HCM team in Lowell, MA is seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Technician on a contract-to-hire basis. You will operate workstations and associated systems in the medical device manufacturing environment, ensuring product quality and production rates.

You will set up tooling, perform inspections, document results, and follow SOPs and process control documents. Strong attention to detail, reading drawings, and fluency in English are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 3–5 years’ experience in medical device industry.
• 2+ years’ experience in a technical field.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret nomenclature and dimensions.
• Knowledge of ISO & FDA requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including both verbal and written communication.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to provide detailed information to engineers for determining root cause and corrective actions.
• Ability to track fine details visually and identify defects in inspected parts.
• Fluent English (read/write/speak).
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate workstations and related systems used in manufacturing.
• Set up and load component materials into product tooling.
• Follow established documentation for product manufacturing and inspection.
• Adhere to safety procedures, GMPs, GDP, and quality system guidelines.
• Document all work on inspection reports and travelers.
• Read and follow process control documents, work Instructions, and SOPs.
• Perform in-process visual inspections with or without microscopes.
• Use gauges, verniers, and inspection systems for dimensional checks.
• Set up and troubleshoot basic workstation tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Assist Quality Control with inspections as required.
