Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Set Up Technician for a permanent onsite role in Chaska, MN. The position focuses on preparing, adjusting, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key duties include equipment setup, changeovers, SOP adherence, and collaboration with production, quality, and maintenance teams. Candidates should have manufacturing experience and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cosmetics/pharma/regulated industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and machines.
• Ability to read SOPs, batch records, and equipment manuals accurately.
• Good communication to collaborate with production, quality and maintenance teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and calibrate production equipment for batches including fillers, cappers, labelers, mixers and conveyors.
• Perform efficient line changeovers to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Verify equipment settings match product specs and quality standards.
• Assist line start-up to ensure equipment runs smoothly and safely.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate complex problems promptly to maintenance.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust to maintain optimal operation.
• Conduct regular line checks to confirm correct components and packaging materials.
