You will help design, develop, and qualify packaging systems for sterile and non‑sterile medical devices, under guidance from senior engineers, and ensure compliance with domestic and international standards. The role spans concept through verification and transfer, with testing, data analysis, and documentation; you will work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain, taking ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1-3 years of experience in packaging engineering, internships/co-ops, or related role; regulated industry exposure is a plus.
• Basic understanding of medical device packaging concepts, including sterile barrier systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 11607, ISO 13485, and related packaging standards.
• Foundational knowledge of engineering statistics; exposure to DOE or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Ability to develop packaging requirements and specifications with guidance.
• Familiarity with CAD/packaging design tools such as CAPE, TOPS, SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and qualification of packaging systems for sterile and non‑sterile medical devices under guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist with design control activities for low to moderate complexity projects and maintain packaging specifications and documentation.
• Participate in packaging development projects from concept through verification and transfer with testing coordination.
• Translate product and customer requirements into packaging and process requirements with mentorship from experienced engineers.
• Contribute on cross‑functional project teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Supply Chain).
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as test protocols, reports, and change control records.
• Support packaging verification and validation activities, including sample prep, testing coordination, and data collection.
