Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. is seeking a Packaging Engineer for a 12-month contract in Warwick, RI. You will support design, development, and qualification of packaging systems for sterile and non-sterile medical devices, under senior engineers' guidance.

You will assist with design controls, develop packaging specifications, and participate from concept through verification and transfer, coordinating testing and documentation to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related technical field.
• 1–3 years of packaging engineering experience; regulated industry exposure is a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of sterile/non-sterile packaging concepts.
• Familiarity with ISO 11607, ISO 13485, and related standards.
• Experience with CAD/packaging design tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging systems development for sterile and non-sterile medical devices under senior guidance.
• Assist with design control activities for low to moderate complexity projects.
• Participate in packaging development from concept through verification and transfer.
• Translate product and customer requirements into packaging and process specs with mentorship.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Supply Chain).
• Execute technical tasks with ownership and escalate risks when needed.
• Prepare and maintain test protocols, reports, and change control documentation.
• Support verification and validation activities, including testing coordination and data collection.
• Apply engineering principles to solve packaging problems and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop packaging knowledge through training and standards review.
