Job summary

Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. seeks a Counsel to provide practical legal advice on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters for a medical device company. You will support strategic objectives while ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies.

The role requires drafting and negotiating complex contracts, advising on RFPs, marketing compliance, sponsorships, and training. You will work with multiple CMSU departments and outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active state bar membership.
• 3+ years of attorney experience, preferably in medical devices or healthcare.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with FDA regulatory issues and healthcare compliance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial contracts (customer, vendor, research, consulting).
• Review RFP responses and marketing collateral for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise on approvals for sponsorships and educational grants.
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters with outside counsel.
• Develop and deliver training on legal and compliance topics.
• Provide guidance on employment law, privacy, and healthcare compliance.
