Job summary

Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. is seeking a Counsel to advise on commercial, legal and compliance matters for a medical device company, reporting to the VP of Legal & Compliance.

You will draft and negotiate complex contracts, review RFPs, and ensure adherence to FDA, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Open Payments and related policies. The ideal candidate holds a JD, is a member of the State Bar, with 3 years of attorney experience (preferably in medical devices), and demonstrated drafting/negotiation

Qualifications

• Solid analytical and drafting skills for regulatory issues.
• Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
• Review RFP responses for regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Review marketing materials for Truth in Advertising and regulatory compliance.
• Advise on approvals of sponsorships and educational grants.
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation with outside counsel.
• Develop policies on healthcare compliance and related training.
• Advise CMSU on healthcare, employment, and privacy law.
• Create and deliver training on legal/compliance matters.
• Conduct legal research impacting the company and subsidiaries.
