Job summary

You will handle hospital directory assistance, transfers, and after-hours help desk support, using phone, chat, paging, and secure messaging. Strong customer service and healthcare terminology knowledge are required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of customer service experience.
• Two (2) years of experience using electronic scheduling systems.
• Experience with answering service, high volume call center, phone customer service, or web chat.
• Hospital or healthcare experience with medical terminology.
• Experience with local, national, and international dialing rules.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls for providers and offices within six rings.
• Screen and document caller details in electronic systems.
• Read schedules to route messages to the correct provider.
• Dispatch patient transport and coordinate with hospital departments.
• Communicate codes and emergency lines per protocol.
