Job summary

Methodist Medical Group in North Texas is seeking a professional medical coder to assign CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers for outpatient and inpatient professional encounters based on medical record documentation.

You will assist in auditing E/M services, educate providers on coding issues, and support compliance activities. A CPC or CCS-P certification and 2 years of outpatient coding experience are required; surgical coding here is preferred.

• Bachelor degree preferred -OR- Associate degree in Health Information Management preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years recent outpatient coding experience in primary care & surgical settings.
• Certifications CPC or CCS-P with appropriate experience required.
• Surgical coding in Trauma, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and/or Neurosurgery preferred.
