Job summary

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, coding coursework, and 1 year of coding experience in hospital or clinic settings. Relevant RHIT/RHIA/CPC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience coding in hospital/physician settings.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 CM/CPT guidelines and updates.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medical information to assign ICD-10 CM/CPT codes.
• Abstract data elements and enter into designated systems.
• Manage unbilled coding reports to support cash flow.
• Stay updated on ICD-10/CPT changes via training and clinics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
