Allegheny Health Network is seeking a qualified medical coder to review medical records, assign ICD-10-CM/CPT codes, and abstract data for hospital and health system reporting. The role supports efficient cash flow by managing unbilled coding reports and staying current with coding guidelines.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, coding coursework, and 1 year of coding experience in hospital or clinic settings. Certifications such as RHIT/RHIA/CCS-P/CPC are preferred.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of coding courses in anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• 1 year hospital/physician coding experience.
• 1 year coding at mid-level facilities or clinics.
• 1 year coding major surgeries/observations/E/Ms.

Responsabilidades

• Review medical information and assign ICD-10-CM/CPT codes.
• Abstract data elements for statistical requests and enter into the designated system.
• Manage unbilled coding report and cash flow.
• Stay updated on ICD-10-CM/CPT changes via trainings and clinics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
