Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a Professional Fee Coder to join our CODING team. The role involves accurately processing professional service charges and verifying CPT/ICD codes through EPIC Workques, with potential work on technical component charges.

The coder will contribute to primary care or specialty areas. Full-time position (1.0 FTE, 80 hours biweekly) requiring knowledge of coding principles, medical terminology, and billing practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Business Services, or equivalent coding-focused program.
• Certification in coding required within 18 months of hire.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD coding, coding and billing regulations and reimbursement systems.

Responsibilities

• Process professional service charges and verify CPT/ICD codes.
• Ensure compliance with Provider Based or RHC Billing requirements.
