Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a PROFESSIONAL FEE CODER to join our CODING team. The role accurately processes professional service charges, verifies CPT and ICD codes via EPIC Workques, and may handle technical component charges per Provider Based or RHC guidelines. It supports coding for either primary care or specialty areas.

Hours: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly. Requires HIM-related degree or two years coding experience, and certification within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Two years coding experience or an associate's degree with coding emphasis.
• Certification in coding required within 18 months of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, coding and billing practices.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR workflow understanding.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process professional service charges and verify CPT/ICD codes.
• Possibly process technical component charges per billing requirements.
• Code for primary care or specialty areas and ensure compliance.
