Responsibilities

• Monitor billing clearance processes in compliance with policy for new clinicians and coders.
• Deliver continuous coding education to clinicians and ancillary staff.
• Identify and mitigate organizational risk by validating accurate coding.
• Research and disseminate updates regarding coding information and regulations.
• Monitor coding patterns, perform audits, and provide feedback to staff.
• Review and respond to coding inquiries from staff.
• Analyze coding KPIs and monitor denials for prevention plans.
• Act as primary liaison with coding vendors.
• Establish recovery/remediation plans for coding errors.
• Organize coding team meetings.
