Job summary

The ideal candidate will stay current with evolving coding guidelines, collaborate with clinicians and coders, and report findings to management. Requires HS diploma and preferred Bachelor's in related field, plus coding experience.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding rules.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and payer regulations.
• Strong ability to educate providers and staff on coding/compliance.
• Ability to identify documentation gaps and compliance risks.
• Experience developing educational materials for training.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducts training sessions and seminars for CHS providers and staff.
• Reviews records to ensure accurate coding and documentation per payer rules.
• Identifies educational needs and guides improvements in documentation.
• Develops and updates educational resources for coding compliance.
• Keeps staff updated on regulatory changes affecting coding.
• Collaborates with clinicians and coders to address issues.
• Prepares compliance review reports and presents findings to leadership.
• Maintains confidentiality of provider and patient data.
• Reports noncompliance issues to management; travels as needed.
