Job summary

National Emergency Management and Response is seeking a Medical Cadre Manager to support readiness, coordination, and oversight of the Medical Support Team Cadre across the lifecycle. You will manage reservations, credentials, compliance, and deployment preparation to ensure mission readiness.

You will lead staffing recommendations, maintain rosters, tracking, and attend IMT activations as needed. Strong clinical/EMS background and recruiting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public administration, public health, nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred and may substitute for years of experience.
• Clinical education, licensure, or certification as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Advanced EMT, EMT, or other healthcare professional is strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, five years of progressively responsible experience in emergency management or related field may be accepted.
• Five plus years of professional experience in emergency management, public health, healthcare operations, or medical staffing, with supervisory/coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual and related handbooks.
• Support Reservist Coordination Unit for Medical Support Team readiness, compliance, and coordination.
• Serve as primary steady-state contact for Medical Support Team Reservists and oversee roster management.
• Develop processes for qualifying and assigning medical personnel to deployment requests.
• Maintain medical cadre rosters for steady-state and surge deployments.
• Lead recruitment support to identify qualified talent for Medical Support Team Cadre.
• Respond to HelpDesk inquiries and provide timely personnel-related assistance.
• Deliver year-round training, webinars, and just-in-time support for Reservists.
• Maintain records in Salesforce: qualifications, deployments, licensure, training history.
• Participate as a core IMT member; complete required training and activations.
