Medical Billing Supervisor
Bay City, MI (100% Onsite)
Non-Exempt Hourly
$28.00-$35.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes
• Manage daily operations of the billing team, including but not limited to: invoice generation, payment posting, and collections
• Resolve patient billing inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
• Train and support billing department staff (team of 4-7 billers both onsite and remote)
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of billing data
• Coordinate with insurance companies to track claims
• Insurance Credentialing for Company and/or Therapists
• Medical Insurance Compliance
• Ensure all insurance and patient payments are posted to accounts correctly
• Stay up-to-date with insurance regulations, medical coding, and billing trends
• Prepare and present reports on billing activities

Qualifications:

• Degree in Health Administration, Business, or relevant field is preferred
• 5-10 years' experience supervising a medical billing department
• Capable of managing a department of 4-7 billers working onsite and remotely
• Thorough knowledge of medical billing procedures, documentation and regulations
• Familiarity with medical coding and terminology
• Proficiency with billing software, electronic medical records (EMR) and databases
• Knowledgeable in billing for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy & ABA Services
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
