Job summary

Chattahoochee Technical College seeks a Medical Assisting Program Director/Instructor for the Appalachian Campus. This full-time role oversees instruction, curriculum development, and program management, with options for 10- or 12-month appointments.

Under supervision of the Dean, you will ensure compliance with accreditation standards, coordinate labs, online delivery, and student assessment, while guiding students toward licensure and career success.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Medical Assisting or related health field.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, or NCMA).
• Minimum of three years of health care practice including admin and clinical procedures.
• Teaching experience in post-secondary, vocational, and/or technical education.
• Experience using Blackboard Learning Management System.

Responsibilities

• Develops course outlines, goals, and objectives aligned with approved curricula.
• Delivers instruction in face-to-face, online, lab and clinical settings.
• Maintains safe, organized lab/classroom environments and appropriate supervision.
• Evaluates student progress with established criteria and tests.
• Assesses and ensures program accreditation and compliance with standards.
• Advises students on academic and career pathways and maintains office hours.
