Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in medical assisting or related healthcare field from an accredited college or university.
• Three to Five or more years of recent clinical experience in ambulatory care.
• Current credentials CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT) or CCMA (NHA).
• Teaching or training experience in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in administrative, clinical, and laboratory medical assisting.
• Deliver instruction in Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Anatomy & physiology, EHR, and related areas.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with standards and curriculum frameworks.
• Facilitate skills labs including Phlebotomy and injections, EKG, vital signs.
• Assist with clinical site placement and evaluation.
• Monitor attendance and student progress; provide remediation as needed.
