Job summary

Core Physicians, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clerical, clinical and business support under supervision. Shift: Mon–Fri 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Location: 21 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities include pre-visit work, vital signs, medication reconciliation, instrument sterilization, patient communication, scheduling, and chart management, in a collaborative physician-led environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification/registration required or within 6 months of hire OR credentialed through a formal training program that includes testing of knowledge.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, and assisting providers with examinations or procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Respond to patient portal messages on the same day per policy.
• Complete pre-visit work, vaccinate administration, and prescription refills using standing protocols.
• Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing; make follow-up calls after procedures.
• Perform daily administrative duties: check-in/out, scheduling, phones, filing, and chart management.
• Adhere to Core Physicians policies and patient confidentiality standards; participate in daily huddle.
• May perform scribing duties and document encounters accurately; order labs, referrals, and prescriptions as needed.
• Monitor care team metrics and participate in improving outcomes.
• Provide coverage for other Core Offices as needed.
