Job summary

Core Physicians, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clerical, clinical and business functions under supervision. The role supports patient care across the Seacoast region with a focus on teamwork and growth.

Location: 118 Portsmouth Ave, Suite B102. Schedule: varied shifts Mon-Fri, 32 hours per week. Compensation includes competitive pay, benefits from day 1, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification required or within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties such as pre-visit work, obtaining vital signs, providing medication reconciliation, and assisting providers with examinations and/or procedures.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization as required. Ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Respond to patient portal messages on the same day.
• Complete pre-visit work, administer vaccines, and process prescriptions.
• Schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing and follow-up calls after surgery.
• Perform daily administrative duties: check-in/out, scheduling, phones, chart handling, billing tasks.
• Adhere to Core Physicians policies and confidentiality regulations; participate in daily huddles and communicate with care team.
• May scribe and document encounters, order labs, referrals, and prescriptions as directed.
