Job summary

Core Physicians, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clerical, clinical, and business tasks under supervision. The role offers a Monday–Friday day schedule in the Seacoast NH area, with opportunities to contribute to a patient-centered care team.

Responsibilities include pre-visit work, vital signs, vaccines, documentation, and coordination of referrals and tests. A CMA/RMA/CCMA credential and BLS are required or must be obtained within six months.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or equivalent training within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties: pre-visit work, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assisting providers.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization; keep exam rooms stocked and ready.
• Respond to patient portal messages the same day following protocol.
• Complete pre-visit work, vaccines, and prescription refills using standing orders.
• Handle daily administrative tasks: greeting, scheduling, phone duties, charts, and billing tasks.
• Participate in daily huddle and uphold policies, confidentiality, and care team communication.
• May scribe or document encounters; assist with labs, referrals, and prescriptions as directed.
