Job summary

ChristianaCare Medical Group in Wilmington, DE is looking for a Medical Assistant Training Coordinator to oversee onboarding, competency validation, and clinical education across ambulatory practices. You will coordinate learning experiences, support preceptors, and partner with leaders to promote consistent, high-quality patient care.

This role requires strong communication, a detail-oriented approach, and solid technical and clinical skills, with a focus on workforce development and education

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Associate degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or hold a Medical Assistant certification from a national certifying organization; if not certified at hire, must obtain certification within one year.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably ambulatory care.
• Previous experience supporting onboarding, remediation, clinical quality initiatives, or practice transitions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and support for the development, implementation, and evaluation of Medical Assistant clinical instruction, onboarding, competency development, and workforce development programs.
• Coordinate Medical Assistant clinical learning experiences and affiliation requirements, site visits, and preceptor education to promote consistent practice standards.
• Partner with operational and nursing leaders, preceptors, and community training programs to facilitate onboarding and clinical rotations.
• Track program outcomes, KPIs, and workforce development metrics; support talent pipeline and referrals with HR and practices.
• Maintain centralized Medical Assistant resources for caregivers and leaders; ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
