Job summary

CloseKnit MSO is seeking a Medical Assistant Field Trainer to deliver standardized onboarding and clinical skills training across care centers. The role requires travel between locations and collaboration with Learning & Development and operational leadership to uphold performance and patient-care standards.

The trainer will assess competency, provide remediation, and support MA staff on the clinic floor while staying current with workflows and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• MA certification/registration required.
• 2+ years MA experience in primary, urgent care or ER.
• 1+ year trainer/mentor experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficiency with EMR systems; Athenahealth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct orientation and onboarding for Medical Assistants across care centers.
• Provide remediation and coaching to address performance gaps.
• Partner with Practice Managers and leadership to identify training needs and ensure workflow consistency.
• Support MA staff on the clinic floor; demonstrate best practices.
• Document 30-, 60-, 90-day training evaluations and follow-up actions.
• Escalate significant performance, compliance, or safety concerns to leaders.
• Stay updated on SOPs, policies, and workflows.
