Job summary

Sacramento Native American Health Center seeks a Medical Assistant Preceptor/Trainer to lead onboarding, training, and competency verification for Medical Assistants. You will ensure MA staff are proficient in clinical procedures, patient interactions, and documentation.

You will work with clinic leadership, QA teams, and compliance staff to uphold AAAHC accreditation, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards, while supporting cross-site training and staff development.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
At least 3 years as a Medical Assistant in outpatient or community health setting.
At least 2 years in a leadership, training, or supervisory role focused on MA competency development.
Experience developing and leading MA training programs and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Train all Medical Assistants (MAs) and assigned staff.
Serve as an EHR specialist for training support staff.
Develop and maintain a standardized MA onboarding program.
Ensure AAAHC accreditation compliance through competency assessments and audits.
Monitor MA competency in vaccine administration, EHR workflows, and patient safety.
Collaborate with clinic leadership and compliance staff to improve processes.
