Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Medical Assistant in Worcester, MA. This full-time role (38.75 hours/week) supports surgical specialties with phlebotomy, vital signs, injections, and rooming patients in a patient-centered, value-based care setting.

The position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates and a competitive hourly pay range of $16.00–$25.00, plus a comprehensive benefits package. 8:30 AM–5:00 PM weekdays.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma or equivalent certification
• EMT certification or equivalent experience
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC) a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment
• Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs
• Document patient care using EMR software
• Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle specimens
• Administer medications and injections/immunizations
• Assist providers with minor procedures and point-of-care testing
