Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, Reliant Medical Group (OptumCare) in Westborough, MA, seeks a Medical Assistant for 3.5 days/week with a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates. Responsibilities include rooming patients, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, EMR documentation and assisting with procedures.

Experience as MA or EMT preferred; technical certification or current MA program enrollment required. Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 depending on hours and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or 1+ years MA experience after training.
• Experience working as a Medical Assistant or EMT.
• Active MA certification and BLS CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs.
• Document patient care using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis, and handle specimens.
• Administer medications and injections/immunizations.
• Assist with minor in-office procedures and point-of-care testing.
