Job summary

Jobtailor in Pearland, TX seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support busy clinics across specialties. You will perform vital signs, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and front-line patient care under HIPAA and CLIA.

The role requires MA program graduation or eligibility for certification within 12 months, plus current BLS/CPR. You will collaborate with providers and staff, float between practices, and ensure accurate documentation in EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or eligibility for certification within 12 months of hire.
• RMA, CMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification within 12 months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Six months of medical assistant experience or completion of an externship.
• Specialty clinic experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD9/10 and CPT coding and insurance procedures.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends.
• Ability to float to other clinic practices as needed.
• Maintains required credentials.
