Job summary

Corewell Health’s Shared Services Medical Outpatient Clinic in Muskegon, Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a collaborative, patient-focused team delivering high-quality outpatient care across multiple specialties.

You will support clinicians, coordinate care, and help ensure a positive patient experience in a busy clinic. External applicants may receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
  • One of the following Required within 120 Days: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA

Corewell Health’s Shared Services Medical Outpatient Clinic in Muskegon, Michigan is a collaborative, patient-focused care environment that brings together multiple specialties under one roof. This clinic supports a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, partnering closely with providers across Cardiology, Vein, Vascular, Pulmonary, and Wound Care services. Team members play a vital role in coordinating care, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring seamless communication across specialties to deliver high-quality, comprehensive outpatient care.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work
