Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the outpatient Endocrinology team in Grand Rapids. You will support clinical staff, assist in diabetes management education, and coordinate care for patients with complex conditions.

The role requires a MA training program or equivalent experience, and at least 1 year in a clinic setting. A sign-on bonus applies for external applicants. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program with hands-on clinical skills OR at least 1 year of direct patient care experience as MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical team to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
• Assist in diabetes education, medication management, and care coordination for complex conditions.

Scope of work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
• Required 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Required within 90 Days One of the following
