Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Cutlerville Family Practice location in Grand Rapids. You will join a collaborative clinical support team, delivering patient-centered care and working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements include high school diploma, accredited MA training or equivalent, and 1 year of healthcare experience. BLS certification is required within 90 days, plus CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA within 120 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited MA training program with hands-on clinical skills OR 1 year direct patient care experience in MA scope.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
• BLS/ARC Basic Life Support certification within 90 days.
• CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA or NRCMA certification within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clinical support as part of the clinical support team.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
• Support clinic operations and assist with routine patient flow and documentation.

Scope of Work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
• Required 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
