Job summary

Banner Health Internal Medicine Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, day-shift role (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM). The MA will room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, and update EMRs to ensure accurate, timely patient records.

The position supports both clinical and clerical tasks, with opportunities for career advancement and access to tuition assistance. Certification and ongoing training are encouraged to foster professional growth within Banner

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification are required.
Strong computer skills and effective interpersonal communication are essential.

Responsibilities

Prepares patient for exam by recording vital signs and symptoms.
Assists with exams and minor in-office procedures and documents results.
Coordinates referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicates test results.
Maintains medical records and supports billing-related information.
Maintains clean clinical areas and handles supplies and equipment.
On-boarding/orientation and simulation training as needed.
