Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance card requirement for certain Banner sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam and record vital signs.
• Assist with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and complete medical records for billing.
• Maintain clean clinical environment and stock supplies.
• Order supplies and manage medication recalls as directed.
• Communicate with patients and care teams effectively.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as needed.
• Interact with staff, physicians, patients, and external contacts.
