Job summary

Banner Health is hiring a Medical Assistant in Phoenix, AZ for a full-time day-shift role. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, and document in the EMR system. The position supports inpatient and outpatient settings within a university-affiliated center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification must be completed within 12 months of hire (RMA, CMA, CCMA or NCMA).
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with medical software (EMR).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and recording measurements.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures; document vitals and procedures.
• Coordinate patient care: referrals, scheduling, test results, and prescriptions.
• Provide clerical support: medical records, labs, X-rays, and billing information.
