Job summary

Banner Health's Internal Medicine Clinic in Phoenix seeks an Administrative Medical Assistant to support clinicians and patients. You will perform chart review, coordinate care gaps, and use the EHR to obtain data for preventative and chronic care.

Certification is preferred, with 12 months to obtain it if not yet certified, plus tuition assistance and certification support. This is a full-time day-shift role (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with opportunities for career advancement within Banner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA program completion preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant with BLS; 1+ year experience preferred.
• Experience with authorizations, refills and portal messaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks to support care team and patient flow.
• Review charts to identify care gaps and coordinate care per guidelines.
• Utilize EHR to obtain medical information for preventative and chronic care.
• Collaborate with care team to meet performance and quality measures.
• Maintain clinical skills and participate in onboarding and education days.
