Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and mid-level providers. You will handle patient flow, exam room preparation, and accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient communications, scheduling, and ensuring smooth operations across sites, including satellite offices. This role requires a high school diploma, MA/phlebotomy training, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room when exam is complete.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visit.
• Documents pertinent information in the EHR.
