Ria Health, a leading national telehealth provider specializing in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment, is seeking a Clinical Intake/Triage Nurse to join our rapidly growing team. We recently raised $12.5 million through a Series B financing led by Peloton Equity, with participation from SV Health, BPEA, and SOSV. Work at Ria Health as a Medical Assistant

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant plays an integral role within the care team, supporting virtual patient visits and ensuring efficient clinic operations. The role involves continuous process improvement and collaboration across teams.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create a welcoming, compassionate, and safe virtual waiting room for patients.
2. Manage patient flow within the virtual waiting room.
3. Engage patients virtually, document their medical history, and prepare them for their next visit using Ria Health’s EMR and Zoom.
4. Maintain patient confidentiality, complying with HIPAA and safeguarding medical records.
5. Support clinicians and coaches by communicating patient information and managing virtual waiting room flow.
6. Adhere to company policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
7. Handle email correspondence and escalate issues as necessary.
8. Resolve patient complaints and escalate complex cases appropriately.
9. Ensure secure handling of Protected Healthcare Information, following all policies.
10. Execute daily administrative tasks efficiently and support teammates as needed.
11. Comply with all company policies, including security and remote work policies.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Athena EMR experience preferred.
• Familiarity with addiction treatment programs is a plus.

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Tech-savvy with experience in computer applications.
• Flexible, curious, and interested in healthcare and technology industries.
