Job summary

Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Medical Assistant Receptionist to support clinical and administrative tasks, register patients, verify insurance, answer phones, and assist with occupational medicine duties.

You will work in a team to maintain confidentiality, handle payments, and ensure smooth patient flow across care centers within our urgent care network.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role is preferred.
• Ability to function independently with high level of discretion and judgment.
• Service-driven attitude and strong teamwork oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors with compassion and provides exceptional customer service.
• Register patients by obtaining demographic, insurance, and payment information.
• Handle payments for services, including applicable co-pays.
• Answer multi-line phone system.
• Performs basic medical assisting/occupational medicine duties to ensure proper patient flow.
• Travel to care centers within designated region.
• Daily reconciliation of monies collected.
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
• Perform occupational medicine testing such as urine drug screens and breath alcohol testing.
• Cleans and stocks the site with other team members.
• Training other team members.
• Fully support all service lines under the Urgent Care Specialists network.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
