Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health in Columbus, OH seeks a Medical Assistant Receptionist to support front- and back-office tasks and occupational medicine services. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect payments, answer phones, and help ensure smooth patient flow across centers.

The role requires EMR proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities. Prior clinic experience is preferred; High School diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and EMR experience
• Prior work in a medical office or receptionist role preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide compassionate service
• Register patients, collect demographics and insurance data
• Handle payments and co-pays
• Answer multi-line phones and route inquiries
• Perform basic medical assisting/occupational medicine duties
• Travel to care centers within designated region
• Reconcile monies collected daily
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
• Support occupational medicine testing (urine screens, breath tests)
• Stock and clean the site; train teammates
