Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and a positive guest experience, handling both front desk and clinical duties.

Duties include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections, assisting procedures, preparing medications, and coordinating care with the team. Minimum 1 year MA experience and CPR/BLS required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred or required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Coordinate care plans and address gaps in patient care.
• Front desk tasks: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document in medical records per guidelines and share test results timely.
• Engage patients through outreach to improve care.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
