Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience for our patients, acting as both a Medical Receptionist and a clinical team member.

The role encompasses vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, patient flow, test coordination, and coordination with lab services within a patient-centered primary care model.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordination of care outside the clinic.
• Maintain accurate data in the medical record and process test results for patients.
