Job summary

Marathon Health in New Haven, IN is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high‑quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, functioning as both a Medical Receptionist and delivering clinical support.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, drawing blood, administering injections, preparing medications, and coordinating referrals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred/required where applicable
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
• Take vitals and assist with procedures under physician direction
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered
• Coordinate patient care with other team members and plan of care
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out
• Document data in medical records per guidelines
• Process test results and communicate findings to patients
