Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Louisville team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience.

This role combines front-d desk duties with clinical responsibilities to support the full patient care continuum. You will take vitals, assist with procedures, administer medications as ordered, and help coordinate care with other team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• MA certification or registration required in states where required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure rooms are stocked.
• Review prior medical information and update health data for providers.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per orders.
• Develop individual care plans with the care team to address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Engage patients to drive outreach for eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
