Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The role supports a primary care physician and delivers high-quality patient care while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

The unique model blends clinical duties with front-desk responsibilities to manage the full patient journey. Responsibilities include taking vitals, injections, specimen collection, and assisting with procedures, along with documentation and coordination of referrals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; CPR/BLS is required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review patient information and collect updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, collect specimens, administer injections, and assist with procedures; coordinate with contracted labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/check-out; document in medical records.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients via e-message, mail, or phone.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments and clinic operations.
