Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant in Sarasota, FL. The MA will support the care team, take vitals, assist with procedures, and handle front-desk tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role involves clinical duties under a primary care physician, with emphasis on accurate documentation and patient engagement. CPR/BLS is required at start date, and MA certification is preferred where required by state.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from an MA program; MA certification or registration preferred where required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, assist with procedures, and work with labs for tests.
• Perform injections, phlebotomy was preferred, and administer medications per provider order.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data accurately in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
