Job summary

Marathon Health in Springfield, OH is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant is a key component of our care team and works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience to our patients.

This role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical duties, including taking vitals, performing blood draws, administering injections, and assisting with procedures under physician direction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Graduation from an MA program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred or required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Coordinate with the care team to create individual patient care plans.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Record data in the medical record per guidelines and communicate results promptly.
• Support outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
